- TOPICAL APPLICATION. Introduce the blend the first couple of times when your dog is already calm and relaxed. That way, the scent is associated with feeling safe. Drip the blend in your hand, apply to the dog’s neck and front of the chest. The blend can also be dripped on bedding, on a bandana, or a cotton collar for added effect. Avoid the dog’s face, eyes, and nose.
